About the Author
Herbert G. Blecker was the primary developer of the information, data, and methodology represented in this book. Mr. Blecker who prior to working on this project was the founder and CEO of engineering consulting and software development firms in the US, UK, and Japan providing construction risk analysis, cost engineering, and project management services to over 800 corporate and governmental clients in North and South America, Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
He has presented many technical papers on a host of technical subjects including computer-aided cost engineering, cost estimating, environmental engineering, and project evaluation at conferences of the National Petroleum Refiners Association, American Chemical Society, Department of Energy Symposium on Fossil Fuels, Computer Simulation Conference, and the American Association of Cost Engineers.
Mr. Blecker has been a guest lecturer at several universities on computer-aided engineering for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
He has published technical articles in many journals in the United States and Europe including Chemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering Environmental Engineering Deskbook, Process Economics International, CHEMTECH, and AI Expert.
